As a blogger, you have access to a wide audience. With one click, you can publish a post and push it to a million people. But what happens if you publish a post, step away from the computer and later get calls or emails saying that post has a major typo? The traffic is good, but that small error could cost you.
It’s not just typos that are an issue. What about when the coding has issues and ads disappear? So many things can happen to a blog that need to be fixed immediately but you’re nowhere near your computer.
Luckily, there are a few mobile apps that can help save your day.
Word Processor
You can’t be a blogger and not have a word-processor on your mobile phone. Smart phones come with endless options for this. Microsoft Office Mobile and Apple’s Pages will give you a desktop-like experience and is something you should try and have.
If you need a plain-text editor for writing HTML, the Simpletext app for iOS and Android is what I would recommend. It also syncs your notes with a heap of cloud backups.
Photo Editor
Once in a while you will put up a post and later realise the image is too small. Or maybe it is rotated the wrong way or incorrectly formatted. Having an image editing app like Adobe Photoshop Express will come in handy at such a time. Just adjust, manipulate and lark up the image to what you need it to be and update your post.
Dictionary
It’s never a good idea to post something without knowing the meaning of the word. Download a dictionary app to help you know what certain words mean and in what context they can be used in. It will also help you find out the meaning of words or phrases used in your comment section.
Analytics
It never hurts to know what is going on in your blog. You need to know when most of your readers engage with your post. What posts are they reading and for how long? It will help you know if you need to change you keyword strategy and article content.
Having an analytics app will help you keep an eye on everything going on with your blog and know what’s working and what’s not. Try out the Google Analytics and Facebook Page Manager apps; they will provide great insights.
Mobile apps were designed to make things easier for you when you have no access to a computer. Don’t let a small issue on the blog ruin your chances of getting more hits by not having apps to help you fix things when you’re on the move. Download these apps and make your blogging experience much better.
