The BAKE Kenyan Blog Awards has 3 phases; the submission phase, the judging phase and the voting phase. We are currently in the voting phase. Members of the public get to vote for their favourite blogs from 5 nominees in each category.
The nominees are selected by a panel of judges. It is a mix of bloggers and media personalities. Here are the judges for the BAKE Kenyan Blog Awards 2014.
Grace Makosewe
Grace Makosewe, is is a well known Kenyan radio presenter and MC formerly of Capital FM Kenya. Makosewe as she is popularly known, is the proprietor of the popular boutique PR, Marketing & Events firm, Nairobi VIP Parties which has had the opportunity of handling events and PR for some of the worlds leading corporate consumer.
Joel Macharia
Joel Macharia is the founder of Abacus, a business news and data analytics platform, and the CEO of Capital Associates, a financial consulting and investment firm. He is the founder and former CEO/Editor-in-Chief of pesatalk.com, which was Kenya’s largest consumer finance website.
Naomi “Shiko Mombasa” Wanjiru
Naomi Wanjiru is a blogger formerly based in Mombasa. She blogs under the site shikomsa.com and goes by the twitter handle @shiko_msa. When she’s not working she’s reading, writing or travelling around the country.
Philip Mwaniki
Philip Mwaniki is an established Kenyan journalist with the Nation Media Group. He is the Buzz Magazine Editor and an entertainment critic known for helping shape the Kenyan entertainment industry.
