A year ago, we lost two members – Idd Salim and Rajan Solanki – a few days apart but in different circumstances.
Idd Salim was one of the founding members of BAKE. He was a father, a friend a mentor and to those in the coding world, he was one of the great talents. Idd held a special place in our hearts and his death hit many of us hard. On September 25th 2013, we lost a soldier to Tuberculosis. It was a hard pill to swallow, but many fought on to keep up his legacy.
Rajan Solanki, was the founder of pikachakula. He had a great passion for food that was evident in his award winning blog. Many might not have known Rajan, but those who did, paint him out to be one of the greatest souls to walk this planet. He had a kindness and friendliness about him that can never be matched. Rajan was one of the victims who lost their lives at the Westgate Tragedy on September 21st 2013.
On Saturday 4th October 2014, we shall be holding a memorial for our two fallen brothers at the Nailab. The memorial begins at 2.00pm-4.00pm. Join us as we celebrate the great men that they were and show support for their families.
