The Nailab in conjunction with mLab, iBiz Africa and iHub will be hosting a crowd-funding bootcamp on the 9th and 10th October 2014. Dubbed “The Cheetah Fund“, this is a project by the 1% Club and backed by the Dutch National Postcode Lottery.
The bootcamp is a two-day event, but you can only attend on either day (Thursday or Friday). Part of the bootcamp will involve sessions in areas such as social media, pitching, storytelling, communication and other tools that the participants can employ in their bid to crowd-fund.
Event registration is two-step: Register on Eventbrite here to get a free ticket, followed by uploading your project on the Cheetah Fund website here.
There is a fund of 400,000 Euro to support ideas that are primarily social & environmental impact driven across Africa. If the participants raise at least 30% of their targeted crowd-funding amount in 30 days, The Cheetah Fund will top up the rest. You can read more about it here .
The bootcamp is set to take place from 9.00am – 6.00pm at Nailab, iHub and mLab offices. All venues are located at Bishop Magua Centre, Ngong Road, Nairobi.
