Angela Njehia is currently works as an E-commerce and Marketing executive at Uniglobe Let’s Go Travel, where she runs the company’s BAKE award winning Corporate blog -2013.
Personally, her blog also won the Best General Blog in the 2012 BAKE Awards. She is a self-proclaimed environmentalist and believes in conserving our natural resources. Her personal blog is about tours, travel and environmental issues which also talks about gadgets in the market that are essential when you travel, It also has a Lifestyle segment, that tackles people and their travel lifestyles among other aspects of travel.
Angela runs Let’s go travel blog which is a company blog for the company Uniglobe Lets Go Travel. They pride themselves in being the best travel agency in East Africa and have been in the travel business for over 30 years! The blog is about tours & travel and all aspects of travel in Kenya, Africa and the world. It is also a source to connect with travelers and travel lovers, but also a place where people can be kept abreast with what’s happening in the local and international tourism circle.
Let’g Go Travel came about after Uniglobe saw Angela’s personal blog was getting a great response and they picked up the trend.
We talked to Angela about herself and the Lets Go Travel blog. Here’s what she had to say:
1. What do you do aside from blogging?
We are a tours and travel company, known as one of East Africa’s best and longest established tour operators and Travel Agents, started in 1979 by Alan Dixson, who has operated it ever since, we are also IATA accredited.
2.What made you decide to start blogging?
It was a way to connect with our clients, friends, travellers, travel lovers in a not so formal way. We also felt, it was a great and effective way to communicate on the latest tourism industry news.
3. Every one has something or someone that inspires them. What/ who is your inspiration?
In our part, can we say the over 30 years we have been in operation. This gives us assurance that the travel and tourism sphere is one that people what to hear more about, and will always have new and exciting stuff to say or read about.
4. What blogging trend(s) do you hate and why?
We would have to think hard and critical about this, but at the moment none.
5. What are the challenges you face as a blogger?
The challenge is to have the readers understand our point of view, leading to why you blog the way you do.

7. What’s the weirdest thing anyone has ever said about your blog? How did you react to it
We were asked why would a company have a blog yet they already have an official website? Hmmm… what would BAKE say?
We would remind the person that though there is a slight difference, a blog is still a website
8. What are your top 3 blogs and what makes them special?
We may sound biased, however we do feel most serious bloggers are good at what they do. We have many favourites, these are our top blogs.

Believe in what you do, never let the passion die out, consistency will get you where you want and need to be.
