AITEC East Africa ICT Summit 2013 to be held at Oshwal Centre

The AITEC East Africa ICT summit is set to be held over 20-21 November at the Oshwal Centre in Westlands. The summit will focus on ICT industry partnerships to drive growth in the sector.  ICT professionals and business also have the opportunity to network and interact with manufacturers, service providers and policy-making leaders

Themed ‘Harnessing ICT to improve the quality of life in East Africa’, the conference will have different fora on the impact and value of ICT in eGovernment, health, education and data security through a series of specialised forums and conference streams. The conference will also discuss the effects of eWaste to health and the environment.

There will be a group of panelists and various speakers tackling ICT related issues. The Keynote presentation will be by Dr Kamal Bhattacharya, IBM Distinguished Engineer & Director, IBM Research Africa Lab, Kenya. David Svarrer, CEO, Digital Age Institute, Kenya will give a Mobile application development talk. SleepOut’s CEO Johann Jenson is also scheduled to speak at the conference. You can find a list of all speakers here
