The OLX Social Media Awards (SOMA) have been launched for the second year. BAKE has come on board to sponsor the Most Promising New Blog in the competition. The winner will be someone who started their blog within the last year i.e from 1st July 2013 – 30th June 2014.
Under the sponsorship, the winner stands to get the following from BAKE:
• Mentorship for a year
• Free domain registration and hosting for 2 years.
• Free professional blog design
The theme for this year’s Awards is “Making Social Media Work For You” and includes new categories for the National and County Governments, Learning Institutions, and Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs).Other categories include:
• Social Network Personality of the Year
• Large Corporation Category
• SMEs Category
• The National and County governments
• Traditional Media
• Best use of Social Media
• The Best of the Best.

Nominations for the awards is open till the 17th of August.
