Challenges bloggers face and their solutions

challenges
Blogging is slowly becoming popular across the globe. Every day, a new blog comes up or someone quits their job to run the blog fulltime. Anyone can easily set up a blog; however, creating a successful blog with a dedicated audience is another situation. Developing a site with healthy traffic, consistent readers and the potential for monetization will present the blogger a fair amount of challenges.

Here are a few of those challenges and ideas on how to get through them.

Low growth on social media

Having social media accounts for your blog is one way of generating more interest in your content and it translates to more interaction with your readers. You could blog for a year and have a handful of followers on Twitter or only your family likes your Facebook page. This can be a bit demoralizing as it might indicate people aren’t all that interested in what you have to say off your blog.

Solution: The best way to fix this is to be more involved in what goes on social media. Join in conversations and relate to people. You could also have giveaways on your blog if that is possible. Be more interactive and social. Network with fellow bloggers and they will help your social networks grow.

Writer’s block

There comes a time when writing is a problem. There’s a huge invisible stone that makes your ideas difficult to flow into a post. This is a problem that you as a blogger will encounter many times in your journey. It’s not life threatening and you shouldn’t panic when it does happen.

Solution: There doesn’t seem to be a definite solution to this. Everybody ahs a different way of overcoming writers block. You could listen to music and it will inspire you. You could sleep it off or simply wait for it to run it’s course. The one thing that people seem to have in common is that you should write it off. Take your laptop or a notebook and jot down words until you get inspired and motivated to write again.

Poor visibility

Sometimes being an active blogger does not mean people know about you. You churn out content on a daily basis but not enough people are aware of it. You arent’ being seen and heard as much as you would like.

Solution: The only way to fix this is put yourself more out there. Make as much noise about your blog whenever you can. Join forums and groups on social media to let people know about your work. You could also do face to face chats with other bloggers. It will help you get more ideas on how to optimize your blog and increase your visibility.

Producing quality content

You’ve developed a niche, a writing style, and a content schedule that will keep readers interested. After several months of writing, it may be difficult to come up with new, fresh ideas that are engaging and compelling.

Solution: Read widely and research your ideas. Look at what others are writing and try and get ideas based on that. You could also add creativity to your content by using videos and images. Packaging a post this way might help you get better quality work.

Stiff competition

Let’s face it competition is a big challenge in the blogging world. We all have that one person who always beats you to break a story or has more content in a day. You have that blog that is giving you a run for your money.

Decide form the start what you are good at and capitalize in it. If you have unique content and ideas you will draw readership from your competitors.
