The blogging community is growing by the day. With more people, taking up blogging, there is a need to foster community relationships. We need to know each other beyond our online personas. It is with this in mind that BAKE is introducing Kenya Blog Camp which will be held from 12th-14th December 2014 at Cray Fish Camp in Naivasha.
In a time when more and more people are starting to go digital, blogging and social media has become a component that cannot be ignored. More people are turning to use the platforms as tools for marketing their business. More people are utilizing their writing, photography and videography skills by setting up blogs and social media accounts. The aim of all this will be to make a living in the online space.
The bloggers camp will centre on addressing this with the theme being “Blogging as a Business”. We will have various workshops to help those in attendance know how to go about monetizing their blogs. The camp is set to have interactive sessions and presentations from people in the business. We will have a variety of speakers ranging from bloggers, media agencies and the corporate world. Each speaker will share tips and give advice to those who want to grow their blog into a business.
The camp is more than just a way to learn how to monetize your blog, it’s a socializing experience. With this in mind, we will have a bonfire session with entertainment from various artists. They will share some of the work and chat on how bloggers can work with personalities in the arts industry.
Tickets are now available for the camp. They go for Kshs. 3,500 for members and Kshs. 4,500 for non-members. You can get your tickets by sending money to our Pay Bill number 865850. The ticket will cater for food, transport and accommodation for the duration of the camp. We have limited spots available for this. Book your space now
