It has been dubbed the largest Convention of ICT professionals in 2016, and it is set to happen on the 24th and 25th of February at Oshwal Centre Nairobi.

AITEC Africa invites you to “AITEC East Africa ICT Summit” an event that is expected to host over 500 leading ICT stakeholders, professionals and managers.

Using the theme “Inspire & Innovate for Excellence”. AITEC East Africa ICT Summit, through its range of in-depth specialist forums, will provide a unique platform for all sectors to gather information, contacts, and knowledge to take back to their organizations, and empower them to accelerate delivery of results. In addition, the Summit will act as a clearing house to identify synergies, link initiatives, form partnerships, and avoid duplication of projects and waste of resources.

The conference will be opened by CS ICT Joe Mucheru. It will contain in its panel, a group of high powered ICT visionaries who include Julius Kipngetich – CEO Uchumi, Bob Collymore – CEO Safaricom, Bill Russo – Director Mckinsey & Company, Dr. Katherine Getao – ICT Secretary MoICT, Baiju Shah – CEO E-Biashara, Nick Nesbitt – CEO IBM and Mrs. Jyoti Murkhejee – CEO Software Technologies Ltd

This summit is also a chance for young people to present groundbreaking ideas to help curb the corruption problem in the Anti-Corruption Apps Competition. You will not want to miss the over 30 startups that will be showcasing their disruptive products and ideas.

The ICT summit will provide an opportunity for job-seekers to meet prospective employers and learn about job and internship opportunities. Employers will also get to meet Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering and Information Systems graduates and students. This will be made possible by the AITEC Career Fair.

A stock-taking opportunity for the region’s multiplicity of e&mHealth projects and initiatives will be provided in the Afrihealth forum during the summit. This eHealth conference was incorporated in the Summit to provide a networking and educational platform for the region’s medical professionals.

Another forum that will interest you is the Information Security forum that will focus on latest security threats solutions and strategies, providing a bench-mark industry event to empower the region to face the ever growing corporate, national and regional cyber security threat.

There will be a focus on E-Gov Kenya to focus on citizen service delivery at local level e.g integrating local, regional and national government systems and services; mobilizing ICT to manage, monitor and track expenditure at all levels.
