Cyber Security has risen to prominence as a recurrent theme in the ICT industry over the last 10 years. We have witnessed a deluge of events, both local and international, which emphasize the need to continuously address the challenges posed by technology proliferation.

AfricaHackon seeks to address these challenges by raising awareness on matters affecting cyber security and also grooming upcoming talent into the job market. What began as a casual meet up for information security professionals led to formation of AfricaHackon, a venture that has seen its emergence as a formidable force in the profession.

AfricaHackOn, which is housed under its parent umbrella, Euclid Consultancy Ltd, is set to hold its 3rd conference this year from the 28th to 29th July at Michael Joseph Center, Safaricom house, Westlands.

In its first conference, AfricaHackon began by popularizing the need to have a different approach towards cyber security which included doing away with “talk only” seminars. This year’s conference is bringing corporate players into the party to showcase why they should consider local talent that has been successfully bred since 2013. It intends to provide a platform for AfricaHackon inductees to showcase their skills and talents to the public. The different mind-bending presentations and demonstrations promise to leave attendees yearning for more.

Having partnered with AfricaHackon once again this year, we will be conducting a Digital skills training during the conference to impart digital skills for internet users. The training will run from 2.00pm – 3.50pm on Friday 29th July. Please use this link to purchase your ticket to the conference.
