At the beginning of the year, BAKE and Grab A Book launched the Adopt A Library CSR project. The idea is to set up a fully functional library for the children at Shadrack Kimalel School in Ngumo. The project has been ongoing and we are grateful to everyone who has sen tin books and money to support the cause.
On Saturday February 22 2014, we had a soft launch at the school. It was more of a meet and great where we familiarized ourselves with the space set aside for the library and met some of the children. We are planning a second visit to see how things are going as we plan for an official launch.
On Saturday 20th September 2014, we shall visit the school to spend time with the children and see what more they need for the library. We would like you to be a part of the visit and join us in a reading session for the children.
It will be a chance to motivate the children and also gauge what books they need most to aid in their reading. We will also get to unleash our inner children and play a few games with the children
