This year’s Fourth edition of the Kenyan Blog Awards is bigger and better partially due to the fact that the blog categories have been increased. The Kenyan Blog Awards night Gala will take place at Nairobi’s intercontinental Hotel on 2nd May and is open to everyone who is interested in attending. Ticket details are available on this site.
We are glad to announce that NIC Bank Kenya have come on board as a sponsor for this year’s awards. With other categories like fashion and technology getting sponsors it was about time ‘The Business Blog category of the year’ had one of its own and NIC Bank made this happen. This category focuses on bloggers who play a huge role in educating the public on matters entrepreneurship and business.
The fourth edition of the awards is expected to bring together many industry players that include county governments, celebrities, corporate organizations and online creators.
The NIC Bank Group Managing Director John Gachora had some inspiring words to say about this new partnership. Below is his speech.
“The use of Technology has today become an important contributor to the economic growth and development of country. NIC Bank will continuously seek opportunities to support initiatives that are geared towards adoption and use of ICT particularly among the youth. The youth, below the age of 35, consists over 75 per cent of the population in the country and we have to empower them for the prosperity of Kenya. This is in alignment to Kenya’s Vision 2030 social pillar which places the youth at the center of economic development and prosperity of this country.”
The Bloggers Association of Kenya Chairman was grateful to NIC Bank for believing in this noble course and he had this to say.
