How to freshen up after travelling

travel tips
Travelling is fun and lets you experience new things. You get to see the world in a whole new light. As fun as it is, it might make you feel tired and frazzled. It is particularly worse if you are confined in one space over a long period of time. You need to have some handy tips to ensure you look great and feel fresh even after 8 hours in a plane or a bus.
Here are a few tips I find to be quite handy:

Stay hydrated

Nothing makes you look worse than dehydration. It leaves your skin and hair dry, causes bloating and makes you feel tired for no reason. To make things easier on you and your body, be sure to drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your trip and during your travel as well. Avoid taking coffee, caffeinated soda and alcohol as they tend to speed up your dehydration process.

Wear comfy shoes

After a long day of travel, your feet tend to swell up and hurt. Make sure you own one pair of comfortable shoes for travelling. They should be able to allow you to rest and relax while travelling. If your trip is for business, pack dressier shoes to change in once you arrive. I personally avoid heels and boots when travelling. I prefer wearing flats as they are comfy for any mode of travelling

Take a nap

A nap is always a good idea after travelling. When you check-in to your hotel, draw a bath, relax then take a nap to reboot your system. It will leave you feeling much better and energetic enough to go sightseeing. Even a 30-minute cat nap will be enough to rejuvenate you.

These few tips should make your travelling experience something worth writing about. Try them out and see how much better you feel at the end of each journey.
