Are you a writer living in Nairobi or can travel to the capital city? Well, the NYrobi book fest is here and will be held at the Alliance Française Nairobi between 25th and 26th June.
“On the back of the monthly Mbogi ya Mawriters sessions that aim to promote new writing from Kenya, the NYrobi Book Fest will be another platform at the Alliance Française de Nairobi that will celebrate the culture of reading and writing, encourage the sharing of trends and ideas, connect publishers, distributors, authors, illustrators, artists, and readers,” said the organizers in the invite.
Participants of the event include the Kenya Writers Guild, Writers Space Africa, Bloggers Association of Kenya, Twaweza Communications, IFRA, Kwani?, Prestige Shop, Nuria Books Stores, Mystery Publishers, Msanii Kimani wa Wanjiru- writer/Arts journalist illustrators, Chief Nyamweya, Mutendei Akhaya Nabutete, Salim Busuru. Authors, Douglas Logendi, Alex Nderitu, Makena Onjerika, Jennie Marima will also be present at the festival
Wangari the storyteller and Mufasa The Poet will also perform on Sat. 26th June.
