We, the Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE), in partnership with Rongo University and KICTANet, is proud to announce the opening of applications for an intensive, one-day Capacity Building Training Workshop in Migori County.
In an era where simply producing good content is no longer sufficient for long-term success, this initiative seeks to bridge the critical gap between creative passion and professional mastery. As the digital ecosystem expands beyond major urban centers, creators in Western Kenya face a unique set of challenges ranging from complex digital security threats to the ethical dilemmas posed by Artificial Intelligence.
This workshop brings industry-leading expertise to Migori to equip digital storytellers including bloggers, student journalists, YouTubers, podcasters, and aspiring influencers from universities and surrounding creative hubs with the practical skills, ethical grounding, and resilience needed to thrive in today’s evolving digital landscape.
“Our mission is to equip Migori’s digital voices with the advanced tools and industry standards necessary to navigate the modern digital economy with resilience and professionalism”.
The training program is structured to provide participants with a practical toolkit for success, including:
-
Content Creation and sustainable monetization
-
Understanding AI use and fact-checking
- Improving digital security/cyber hygiene
-
Community and networking: the training will serve as a vital networking hub, connecting local talent with industry veterans and fellow creators in the region to foster a collaborative and resilient digital ecosystem in Western Kenya.
