We shall host the Nation Media Group on Thursday 10th March, 2016 at the Nailab for an event geared towards debunking prominent lies that exist in our society. The purpose of the event is based on the premise that a lie told many times has the ability to be believed as truth.
What common myths have you grown believing? These could be in form of stereotypes in areas of specialty, for instance, that certain careers are only suited for a certain gender. Are there features covered by the Daily Nation that have helped in allaying some of these myths or better portray the truth? What improvements would you want to see in the Daily Nation’s coverage of the truth?
Growing up, we must have been exposed to half-truths, and outright lies that we ended up believing. There are also stereotypes that are embedded in our culture that we need to debunk by exposure to the truth. These lies and half-truths are made worse by the current information overload, brought about by the digital space.
The panel from the Daily Nation’s editorial and digital team, will meet and interact with bloggers. Come meet some of the Daily Nation’s writers you have always wanted to ask questions. This will panel discussion with ample time for questions and answers.
