To improve representation of blogging and online content creation outside of Nairobi and in tertiary institutions, we continue setting up regional chapters in various counties as well as in various institutions of higher learning.
We have set up so far, one regional chapter: the Kisumu BAKE Chapter and two University Chapters: Daystar University and Dedan Kimathi University of Technology.
On Saturday January 30th, 2016 from 9.00am to 12.00pm, we shall be at the Swahili Centre, next to Mombasa Hospital, Mombasa to launch the Mombasa BAKE Chapter. The launch will be done in two parts; the official launch of the chapter, followed by a free Blogging and Social Media Training that will be open to the public and especially to those interested in learning about blogging.
The training will cover topics such as:
– Basics of Blogging and Social media
– Becoming a better blogger
– Writing skills and readership
– Personal online branding
– Blogging & Social media ethics
– Understanding copyright
